Docket 90 Amendment #22-90(22) Villages of Wooded Glen and Piney Reach
Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission of Charles County, Maryland will conduct a Public Hearing on October 3, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. to consider the proposed Docket 90 Amendment #22-90(22) Villages of Wooded Glen and Piney Reach. The meeting will be held in the Government Building Conference Room (“Blue Room”) and via video teleconference. Persons wanting more information may call 301-645-0592. The hearing is open to the public, and public testimony is encouraged.
Docket 90 Amendment #22-90(22) is a request to amend the Master Plan for the Villages of Wooded Glen and Piney Reach in St. Charles. The amendment would relocate the middle school indicated in Wooded Glen Neighborhood #3 (Highlands Neighborhood) to a new school site added to Piney Reach Neighborhood #2. The amendment also proposes to waive the “85% Rule” as it applies to the Villages of Piney Reach Neighborhood #3 and clarifies requirements for the buffer along MD Route 488. The Master Plan will be available on September 16, 2022 at CharlesCountyMD.gov/Meetings.

Public testimony may be given either in person or virtually. Each speaker is allotted three (3) minutes. If a registered speaker is not available when called, the County has the right to move onto the next caller.
