PUBLIC NOTICE
ZTA #19-154, Single-Family Attached Residential & Multi-Family
Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission of Charles County, Maryland will conduct a Public Hearing on October 5, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. to consider proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 297 of the Code of Charles County, Maryland. The meeting will be held remotely via video teleconference. Persons wanting more information may call 301-645-0692. The hearing is open to the public, and public testimony is encouraged.
ZTA #19-154 proposes to amend and codify architectural detailing and site design requirements for single-family attached (duplex, townhouse, and multiplex) residential and multi-family development in Charles County. The ZTA seeks to amend Articles II, III, V, VI, VII, XIII, XIV, XVII, XIX, XX, XXI, and Appendix A of the Zoning Ordinance, including definitions and provisions associated with accessory uses and structures, architectural appearance, building materials, building restriction lines, dwelling units per acre (density), encroachment allowances, height limitations, parking, recreational amenity requirements and other interrelated use code requirements. A call-in option is available to speak during the meeting. Each speaker is allotted three (3) minutes.
