PUBLIC NOTICE
Public Hearing: School Allocation Policy Changes
Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission of Charles County, Maryland will conduct a Public Hearing on August 17, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. to consider proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 297 Section 258 of the Code of Charles County, Maryland and the Adequate Public Facilities Manual. The purpose of the amendments is to improve the school allocation process, and provide incentives and additional flexibility to accommodate priority projects, including mixed-used development and affordable workforce housing.
The meeting will be held remotely via video teleconference. Persons with questions or wanting more information regarding this hearing may call 301-645-0692. The hearing is open to the public, and public testimony is encouraged.
The draft documents for this item will be available for inspection on or after July 31, 2020 in the Planning Division, Planning and Growth Management Department, Charles County Government Building, La Plata, Maryland or online at: http://boarddocs.com/md/chrlsco/Board.nsf/Public
