PUBLIC NOTICE

THE BOARD OF APPEALS FOR CHARLES COUNTY, MARYLAND has been petitioned by Nitan Patel of SSN Waldorf, Inc., for approval of a Special Exception to establish a Restaurant, fast-food, drive-in or drive-thru with direct highway access to a public road in the form of a Dunkin Donuts fast-food restaurant with drive-thru, as provided in Article XIII, § 297-212, Use #6.02.310 and Article XXV, § 297-415, of the Charles County Zoning Ordinance. The proposed project site is located at 3425 Leonardtown Road in Waldorf, Maryland, designated as Tax Map 15, Grid 4, Parcel 204, consisting of approximately .812 acres of land. The property is located within the Central Business (CB) Zone.

The Board of Appeals hereby is giving notice that a Public Hearing will be held on this matter Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in an in-person format only at the Charles County Government Building located at 200 Baltimore Street, La Plata, Maryland 20646. Persons with questions or wanting more information regarding this hearing may call 240-776-6686 for further information. The hearing is open to the public, and public testimony is encouraged.

The associated documents for Docket #1465, filed on April 9, 2024 will be available for inspection in the Department of Planning and Growth Management, Planning Division, Charles County Government Building or online at: https://charlescountymd.info/Docket1465 or after December 30, 2024, at: https://www.charlescountymd.gov/government/boards-commissions/meeting-agendas-minutes.

Public testimony may be given in-person. To participate in the meeting, we ask that you attend the meeting at the Charles County Government Building located at 200 Baltimore Street, La Plata, MD 20646. Each speaker will be allotted three (3) minutes. If you are not available to speak in person, you can submit comments at: https://www.charlescountymd.gov/government/boards-commissions/board-of-appeals/board-of-appeals-public-comment-and-speaker-registration-form. Please contact the Clerk to the Board of Appeals via email at BoardofAppeals@charlescountymd.gov with any questions regarding public participation.
