PUBLIC NOTICE
THE BOARD OF APPEALS FOR CHARLES COUNTY, MARYLAND has been petitioned by the Law Offices of Sue A. Greer, on behalf of RITABO, LLC (in conjunction with Solid Rock Company) for an expansion / enlargement of a legally existing non-conforming use (Use 7.01.110 – Buildings < 10,000 square feet per parcel), including a proposed 2,000 square foot storage / showroom area and the construction of interrelated site circulation and parking improvements, as provided in Article XXVII, Section 297-465 and Article XXV, Section 297-418 of the Charles County Zoning Ordinance. The subject property, as shown on Tax Map 12, Grid 24, Parcel 503-R, encompasses 8.035 acres, and is physically located at 4205 Ray Drive, La Plata, Maryland, 20646, in the Watershed Conservation District (WCD) Zone. Prior to 2017, the subject property was zoned General Industrial (IG), which permits Use 7.01.110 by right.
The Board of Appeals is hereby giving notice that a Public Hearing will be held on this matter Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. The Public Hearing will be held as a “Hybrid meeting,” with limited in-person attendance. For those attending in person, the Public Hearing will be held in the Government Building Conference Room (“Blue Room”). Those wishing to join virtually may via video conference.
