
Capital Project Management
Capital Project Management provides project oversight for Charles County's capital improvement projects to ensure feasible and cost-effective designs and construction management. Capital Project Management maintains a core staff of experienced right of way agents, program and project managers, and administrative support personnel whose primary responsibility is to focus on ensuring project success through effective management and coordination with engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
Capital Project Management's main objective is to provide the citizens of Charles County with cost efficient and safe infrastructure and resources for the betterment of our community.
Facilities
Facilities provides crucial services that improve the quality of life for the residents of Charles County and ensures county infrastructure and assets are safe and reliable.
Facilities is responsible for maintaining county owned roads, bridges, buildings, vehicles, and equipment; managing landfill, recycling, and litter control operations; and providing snow removal or emergency response services for severe weather-related road conditions. Facilities also provides educational and outreach opportunities for residents to learn about services and programs.
Utilities
Utilities is divided into four regions (Mattawoman, Maintenance Support, Operations, Technical Support) where our staff are responsible for all Charles County water and wastewater facilities. All sections of Charles County Government pertaining to Water, Wastewater Operations and Maintenance are based here, along with our administrative staff.
