Start the school year with Commissioner Amanda M. Stewart, M.Ed. (District 3) at her annual "Back-to-School" Community Fiesta on Saturday, July 30, from 9 a.m. to noon at Regency Furniture Stadium (11765 St. Linus Drive, Waldorf). Pre-K through 12-grade students who register and attend a Charles County school will receive a backpack filled with supplies. This is a drive-through distribution event only. This year Commissioner Stewart is partnering with Christian Unity Baptist Church for this event.
Additional drawings are being held for a college student who was a 2022 High school graduate, and a Charles County School teacher. You must pre-register to be considered for the drawings. Sponsorships provided by DJ Widebody, Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, and the Charles County Commission for Women.
