THE BOARD OF APPEALS FOR CHARLES COUNTY, MARYLAND has been petitioned by Site Link Wireless, LLC, in coordination with Verizon Wireless, requesting Special Exception use approval from the Board of Appeals for a Tower more than 50 feet tall, Use #4.06.300, as provided in Article XIII, Section 297-212, Article XXV, Section 297-415 of the Charles County Zoning Ordinance. The Applicant seeks to install a 149' monopole cell tower (with 6' lightning rod) within a 30' x 50' fenced compound. The project site, designated as Parcel 93, within Grid 4, on Tax Map 46, consists of approximately 15.249 acres and is in the Agricultural Conservation (AC) zone. The address of the subject property is 13250 Oaks Road, Hughesville, Maryland 20637.
The Board of Appeals is hereby giving notice that a Public Hearing will be held on this matter Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.. The meeting will be held remotely via video teleconference. Persons with questions or wanting more information regarding this hearing may call 301-645-0632 for further information. The hearing is open to the public, and public testimony is encouraged.
The submittal documents for Docket #1424, filed on July 2, 2020 and Staff Report will be available for inspection on or after July 26, 2021 in the Planning Division, Planning and Growth Management Department, Charles County Government Building, La Plata, Maryland or online at: http://www.boarddocs.com/md/chrlsco/Board.nsf/Public
