DESCRIPTION:<p align="center"><b>NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING</b><b style="text-align: left;">&nbsp;</b></p><p> Notice is hereby given that the County Commissioners of Charles County, Maryland will conduct a public hearing on May 19, 2020 at 6 p.m. to consider a proposed Zoning Text Amendment regarding transitional and grandfathering provisions in the Watershed Conservation District (WCD) Zone. </p><p>The meeting will be held remotely via video teleconference.&nbsp; Persons with questions or wanting more information regarding this hearing may call (301) 645-0570 for further information.&nbsp; The hearing is open to the public, and public testimony is encouraged.&nbsp;</p><p align="center"><b>Bill No. 2020-03 / Zoning Text Amendment #19-155</b></p><p align="center"><b>Watershed Conservation District (WCD) Zone</b></p><p align="center"><b>Transitional and Grandfathering Provisions</b><span style="text-align: left;">&nbsp;</span></p><p>The proposed amendment to the Charles County Zoning Ordinance would modify §297-98E(2)(d) and §297-98E(3)(d) to reduce the percentage of lots and associated infrastructure built from 25% to 10%, for a project to be exempt from the development constraints imposed by the WCD Zone. </p><p>The proposed Amendment will be posted prior to the public hearing on the County’s BoardDocs (public) website at <u>http://</u><a href="http://www.boarddocs.com/md/chrlsco/Board.nsf/Public">www.boarddocs.com/md/chrlsco/Board.nsf/Public</a></p><p>Due to COVID19, and in lieu of public appearance: Citizens can watch via CCGTV on cable access channels, Comcast: 95 and Verizon FIOS: 10, view on line at <a href="https://www.charlescountymd.gov/our-county/ccgtv-live-stream">https://www.charlescountymd.gov/our-county/ccgtv-live-stream</a>, or use a call-in number to listen to the public hearing at 301-645-0500.</p><p>To speak during the meeting a call-in option is available.&nbsp; Please call 301-885-2779 to register to speak during the public hearing.&nbsp; Registration to speak will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. on May 19, 2020.
