County Accepting Local Legislative Proposals until April 21, 2023.
The Charles County Commissioners are now accepting legislative proposals to the Charles County Code until April 21, 2023. Any individual, group, or organization interested in submitting a suggestion for an addition or revision to a local law in the County Code must submit the online legislative proposal form to the Office of the County Attorney found at https://www.charlescountymd.gov/government/county-attorney/legislation-proposal-form or mail it to the address below by April 21, 2023:

Each proposal will be presented during a Board of Commissioners’ public hearing on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. Anyone submitting a proposal is asked to attend the public hearing virtually or in person to provide a brief synopsis of the proposal and answer any questions the Board members or public may have. Following the public hearing, the County Commissioners will hold a work session to determine which of the proposals will proceed for additional research and drafting.
