The amendment would relocate the middle school from Wooded Glen Neighborhood #3 (Highlands Neighborhood) to a new school site added to Piney Reach Neighborhood #2. The amendment also proposes to waive the “85% Rule” as it applies to the Villages of Piney Reach Neighborhood #3 and clarifies requirements for the buffer along MD Route 488.</u>&nbsp;</p><p>On Tuesday,&nbsp;<b><u>March 28, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.</u></b>&nbsp;the Commissioners will hear all in-person testimony at the Charles County Government Building, 200 Baltimore Street, La Plata, Maryland.<u>&nbsp;</u></p><p>On Wednesday,&nbsp;<b><u>­­­­­­­­­­­­March 29, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.&nbsp;</u></b>&nbsp;the Commissioners will hear all virtual testimony.&nbsp;</p><p>Individuals or representatives of groups wishing to make oral or written comments are encouraged to attend the hearings. Anyone wishing to testify will be allowed to speak either in person or virtually, but not both.&nbsp;</p><p><u>Please Sign Up:</u></p><p><b>In-person:</b>&nbsp;Speaker sign-up will begin 30 minutes (1/2 hour) prior to the hearing on&nbsp;<b><u>Tuesday, March 28, 2023</u></b>&nbsp;at the Charles County Government Building (200 Baltimore Street, La Plata) and will end at the commencement of the hearing that night.&nbsp;</p><p><b>Virtually:</b>&nbsp;Call (240) 776-6709, starting at 8 a.m.&nbsp;<b><u>on Tuesday, March 28, 2023</u></b>&nbsp;to 4:00 p.m.&nbsp;<b><u>on Wednesday, March 29, 2023</u></b>&nbsp;to register to speak. Once registered, citizens will receive a virtual link to join the meeting. Virtual public comments will be heard between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on&nbsp;<b><u>Wednesday, March 29, 2023</u></b>.&nbsp;</p><p>If you are not available to speak when your name is announced, we have the right to move on to the next speaker.
